COMBAT TERRORISM: IMPROVE YOUR SITUATIONAL AWARENESS

I listened to former New York City Mayor Rudi Giuliani on Fox News after Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s capture say that Americans should leave worrying about terrorists to law enforcement and our intelligence services and just go about living our lives. I disagree, and I’m surprised that the Mayor of New York on 9/11/01 would say that.  (Read the  full column at EWRoss.com)

RENEWING MY FAITH IN AMERICA

Last week was a mind-numbing time for people like me who are addicted to politics and the news. My iPhone alerted me to genuine “Breaking News” stories so frequently that I could hardly keep up with them. Then on Friday, I turned off my iPhone and my iPad, donned my tuxedo, and walked my daughter down the aisle at her wedding. Sitting at my computer the day after, I thought about what’s really important in life and how my daughter’s marriage renewed my faith in America. (More)

TO IPAD OR NOT TO IPAD, THAT IS THE QUESTION.

As someone who is known for an addiction to the latest electronic gizmo and as an owner of both an iPhone and an iPod Touch (that old iPod Video sitting in the Bose Sound Dock doesn’t count), can I live without an iPad–at least until the second generation iPad comes along with better features? I’m betting with myself that I can hold out, but the bet is a small one. That way I won’t lose much. What about you?
